I just got back from another weekend out in the hills digging ramps, and it was one of those perfect spring weekends that make the early mornings worth every bit of effort. The woods are still waking up, and the wildlife was out in full force. A ruffed grouse exploded out of the leaves right in front of me, wings whirring as it flew off into the thicker timber. A little later, I came across a mama black bear (I was far enough away to not worry) with three small cubs moving along the ridge. They were busy foraging and didn’t pay me much mind, but it was a beautiful reminder of how wild and alive these southeastern West Virginia mountains really are this time of year.

Back at the house, I’ve been busy packing orders. All current orders are packed and will be shipping out on Monday, April 13th.

I still have a small amount of fresh ramps left in my boxes. Any orders placed today and tomorrow should be included on a shipment going out Tuesday, April 14th. If you want ramps this week, please order them today or tomorrow so we can get them on that Tuesday run.

These are beautiful, pungent wild ramps straight from the mountains of southeastern West Virginia. Hand-dug, and packed with care. That strong garlicky-onion flavor is at its peak right now, perfect for frying up with eggs and potatoes or adding to whatever dish you’re craving.

Thanks again for all the support this season. I really appreciate every single order. It keeps this small-town tradition going strong and lets me keep heading back into the woods to forage more.

If you’ve been holding off, now’s a great time to grab some before they’re gone for the year. Place your order and I’ll make sure they head your way fresh.
